Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
The short version
- Your tasks, projects and AI chats stay on your device.
- The AI assistant and voice input run on the device and send nothing out.
- We collect anonymous usage events to improve the app, never the content of your tasks.
- No account. You can wipe all data in Settings at any time.
1. Who we are
Equilibrium is made by Bangert Studio. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it goes and what control you have over it. Questions: alexganbert@gmail.com.
2. Data stored on your device
Everything you create is kept in a database on your device:
- projects, tasks, statuses, links between tasks and reminders
- conversations with the AI assistant and the tasks it suggested
- app settings, such as language, theme and visible tabs
We do not upload this data to our servers or any cloud service, and we have no copy of it.
3. Usage analytics
To understand which features are used and to find crashes, the app sends usage events to AppMetrica (Yandex) and Amplitude. An event says that an action happened, for example that a screen was opened or a task was created, together with technical details: device model, operating system, app version and language. Events are linked to a random identifier, not to your name or email.
Events do not contain the text of your tasks, notes or chats.
4. On-device AI
The AI assistant uses models that you download once from Hugging Face. During the download Hugging Face receives a normal file request, including your IP address. After that, chats, task suggestions and voice recognition run entirely on your device. Your prompts and recordings are not sent anywhere.
5. Microphone and notifications
The microphone is used only while you dictate a task. Audio is processed on the device and is not stored. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device.
6. MCP server on the Mac
On the Mac the app runs a local MCP server so that AI tools you choose, such as Claude or Cursor, can read and change your tasks. The server listens only on 127.0.0.1 and works only while the app is open. Data you let such a tool access is then handled under that tool's own privacy policy.
7. Purchases
Optional in-app donations are processed by the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details.
8. This website
This website uses Yandex Metrica to count visits and understand how pages are used. It collects your IP address, browser and device details, pages viewed, clicks and scrolling, and records page sessions (Webvisor). Text you type into forms is not recorded. You can block it with any tracker blocker or by disabling cookies for this site.
9. Deleting your data
You can delete individual tasks and chats, wipe everything in Settings → Danger zone → Clear all data, or uninstall the app. Since we keep no copy, deleted data cannot be restored.
10. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information about them.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date above.
